Butler Campus Competition-BIG EAST STARTUP CHALLENGE

Campus pitch competition to select the Butler startup for the annual BIG EAST Startup Challenge. This competition features teams of student entrepreneurs representing all 11 conference schools. The campus winner pitches their idea during the virtual competition in February and receives a trip to New York City to engage with alums in March, along with support from the Innovation Lab and various resources to continue developing their startup. Ideas and startups can be for-profit or non-profit. Learn more and register your team.

All students in the Andre B. Lacy School of Business take the Real Business Experience, EI-201. This sophomore-level course encourages teams of students to develop a viable business plan, run the business for credit and profit, and present the concept to a panel of executives. Students learn how to make educated risks, market themselves, finance and manage a business, not just from a textbook, but by actually doing it. Butler Campus Competition-BIG EAST STARTUP CHALLENGE

The BIG EAST Conference will host its third BIG EAST Startup Challenge a competition featuring startup teams of student entrepreneurs representing all 11 schools. To determine the undergraduate team representing Butler, students are invited to pitch their concepts in person, virtually or via video submission.  Each pitch must be no longer than 5 minutes, followed by Q&A. Slides are welcome. No props may be used.  Winning Butler team will compete in the virtual BIG EAST Startup Challenge on February 22nd and attend the Big East Conference Game in New York City to network with alumni!
